5 stars! Great price, great taste, grate portion and it comes with with a free drink! Only complaint is that I wish it is open next to my place. (So, not really a complaint)

Ever try and find a restaurant to go to late at night? It feels like any restaurant you find when you're desperate tastes a lot better than it really should be. Maybe it's because your expectations have been greatly lowered because you're hungry. Whatever the reason, Strike was the beneficiary of me dropping by late at night. I just wanted a nice meal late at night and would have been pretty darn happy about it. Somethings however aren't meant to be.

I ordered a beef noodle soup and a green tea with pearls. I wasn't expecting the wheel to be remade here. I was just hungry and hoping for a good meal. For me, the positives of my meal were that the beef noodle soup was hot as I had hoped for and my green tea was cool as I had hoped for as well. That's about where the positives ended.

I really didn't taste just about anything with my green tea. There wasn't much flavour for me at all to enjoy. It eventually just felt like drinking ice water more than a green tea. The pearls were also pretty unspectacular. It felt like it was the first serving of pearls for the restaurant in the day...late at night or something. No real taste but at least the textures all worked.

The beef noodle soup itself wasn't the worst thing I ever had. It was serviceable. It's just everything was overcooked. The veggies were way too tough to chew through for some reason and it felt like they had been left out way too long in the kitchen. The noodles were definitely overcooked as they were past al dente and were way too chewy. I think they had been in the broth for too long before serving or something because it reminded me of something I would have made at home. Finally, the beef was too chewy and I'm pretty sure that was overcooked too. I mean I had a meal still but it wasn't the most satisfying in any sense.

Strike wasn't the worst experience I ever had but it was disappointing. I had just hoped for a good meal at the end of a long day and just ended up spending most of my time wondering what was wrong with my dish. It left a pretty bad taste and I guess to a more concerning extent was that the location was near empty when I had walked in. Not really on my list to definitively return one day but maybe I'll be really hungry again late at night some day.

I ordered their Taiwanese Fried chicken nuggets with noodles for delivery. When I get this dish, it's usually fried chicken on the side with a bowl of noodles. What came with my order was precooked noodles that's still in its round form (you know like how you get them at the stores). Of course there's no seasoning or what not added to it. I still needed to add water to loosen it from its form and make my own broth, which was disappointing.

The chicken on the other hand was good. The sides were a bit weird. I got bok choy with sesame salad dressing. Not bad but odd combo.

I'll just get the chicken next time and make my own noodles and save the $5 since I have to add in my own labour anyways.

Came here for bubble tea. Got the Wheat Germ Milk Tea. It was pretty good. Also had the fried chicken nuggets. Not bad but not wow.

Place had very few customers when I went at 2pm for snacks. I heard they changed management and so food wise should have improved. My mom and sister came here a year ago and they said they ordered beef noodle and it was pretty nasty. But again that was before management changed. So not sure how the noodle tasted now.

Decor is ok. Clean. Service not bad.

My friend just decided to have a birthday dinner there with a few of us, and the food were surprisingly good!
I've always thought that Strike only serves Taiwanese food but I was wrong!! They even serve liquor like Soju and Asahi beer that has a promotion till end of March (Around $3 a glass and $12.95 for a pitcher)!!!!
We ordered their Fried Chicken, Pesto Pasta, Octopus Pancake, Yam Fries, Pitchers of beer & Soju and more.
They are super delicious and I'm totally going to go back!
